Pre-registration for the TH-AI Passport project, aimed at empowering Thai citizens with AI capabilities, will commence today, August 19, 2026. The initiative, spearheaded by the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Committee under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, invites Thai citizens aged 15 and above to create an account and verify their identity for the AiPASS platform. This pre-registration period, accessible via de.aipass.net, precedes the official launch of the AiPASS platform on August 31, 2026.
The project will operate on a Pay Per Active User model, with the government subsidizing Innovator-level users at a rate of 24.70 baht per person per month, contingent on active service usage according to project conditions. This financial framework is designed to ensure budget efficiency and maximize public benefit by aligning spending with actual utilization.
The TH-AI Passport project is designed to support up to five million individuals, encompassing students, government employees, the general public, and entrepreneurs. Its core objective is to democratize access to AI tools and foster skill development, particularly for those new to AI or with no prior technological background. The initiative seeks to cultivate AI literacy, enhance understanding of AI model functionalities, and guide users in selecting appropriate tools for educational, professional, and business endeavors. Ultimately, it aims to boost workforce productivity, bridge the digital divide, and elevate Thailand’s global competitiveness.
The AiPASS platform will serve as a comprehensive hub, aggregating over 30 AI models from more than 14 leading developers. Users will gain access to advanced tools such as GPT 5.6, Claude Opus 5, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok 4.3, Sonar Deep Research, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro, Seedance 2.0, Lyria 3 Pro, and the indigenous Thai model, Pathumma LLM, enabling them to select the most suitable models for their specific needs.
Furthermore, AiPASS will feature models developed under the ThaiLLM project, including the Pathumma LLM, which is hosted and operated within Thailand utilizing NVIDIA technology. This localized infrastructure ensures users have access to efficient and contextually relevant Thai language AI models.
Beyond tool access, AiPASS champions a “Learn • Earn • Plern” philosophy, offering over 96 AI courses developed in partnership with global leaders like Google for Education, Microsoft Elevate, and OpenAI. These courses cater to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and upon completion, participants will receive certificates and points that can be redeemed for Pro-level AI model access and progression to the Innovator level. NVIDIA will also continuously enhance the course offerings and provide Thai developers with expanded access to its Deep Learning Institute courses, keeping them abreast of the latest NVIDIA technologies.
Thai citizens aged 15 and above can complete their pre-registration for the TH-AI Passport project through de.aipass.net. The process involves registering using a Google, Microsoft, or Apple account, followed by identity verification via the government app or ThaiD. It is important to note that registration must be conducted through a standard browser and will not be supported via incognito or private browsing modes. Pre-registration encompasses both account creation and identity verification. Access to AI models on the platform will be granted from August 31, 2026, onwards.
