Warsaw-Bangkok flights launch to boost Polish tourism.

LOT Polish Airlines has inaugurated direct flights connecting Warsaw and Bangkok, establishing a new air link between Thailand and Central Europe just as the year-end travel season approaches. The inaugural flight, designated LO65, departed Warsaw on October 7 at 3:45 PM local time and touched down at Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 8 at 7:05 AM. This service, spanning approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes, is operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured with 252 seats. Initially, flights will run three times weekly from October 7 through October 25, after which the frequency will increase to five services per week from October 26 onwards, continuing throughout the winter season.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is actively supporting this new route in collaboration with LOT Polish Airlines and tourism stakeholders in Poland, aiming to boost visitor numbers from Poland and broader Central European markets. This direct service eliminates the necessity for connecting flights for passengers traveling between Warsaw and Bangkok. Furthermore, travelers departing from Thailand can leverage LOT’s extensive network from Warsaw to access over 100 destinations across Europe and beyond.

The TAT has noted that Polish tourists typically favor destinations such as Bangkok, Chon Buri, Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui, along with other popular beach resorts. The increased airline capacity is anticipated to facilitate travel to locations beyond Bangkok, particularly during the high season. Poland has emerged as a significant and growing source market for Thailand’s tourism sector. In 2025, Thailand welcomed 237,570 Polish visitors, representing a substantial increase of 31.46% compared to the preceding year. Between January 1 and September 30 of this year, an additional 164,807 Polish travelers visited Thailand, marking a 12% rise over the same period in 2025. The TAT projects approximately 250,000 Polish arrivals by the close of 2026.

To further promote the destination, the TAT’s Prague office is hosting a familiarization trip from October 8 to 11. This trip includes 30 participants, comprising six Polish tour operators, 18 media representatives, and six executives from LOT Polish Airlines. The group will follow a Bangkok-Rayong-Bangkok itinerary designed to showcase various destinations and tourism products that could subsequently be incorporated into travel packages marketed in Poland. The TAT has affirmed its commitment to ongoing collaboration with LOT Polish Airlines, tour operators, and other Central European partners on marketing and sales initiatives related to this new route.
