He achieved this distinction with a total score of 15 under par, following a dramatic 5-hole playoff. This marks Thailand’s first-ever medal in the men’s individual golf category at the Asian Games.
In the team events, both the Thai men’s and women’s golf teams concluded the competition in fourth place overall in Asia. The men’s team comprised Sodman Kaewkanjana, Pongsapak Laobhakdi (“Fifa”), and Boomi Sakdaensilp (“Proboomi”). The women’s team was represented by Aphisanya Yubon (“Propeano”), Patsarajuda Kongkrapan (“Proplai”), and Natthakrit Wongtwilab (“Prosim”).
