Pannawich “TeJay” Wangjaisuk, representing The Wolf Juniors, clinched the Class EB title at the SINGHA Junior Golf Central Ranking 2026-2027 with an outstanding score of 6 under par 66. The tournament was held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Dynasty Golf & Country Club.

TeJay encountered significant challenges on the front nine, where several shots did not go as planned, necessitating his adaptation to various difficult situations. Despite these setbacks, he maintained emotional control, preventing past errors from impacting his performance. He effectively utilized his short game and putting to stabilize his play, finishing the first nine holes at 1 under par 35.
The back nine witnessed an elevated performance from TeJay, as he sustained his game control and consistently created scoring opportunities. He accelerated his momentum, adding another 5 under par with a score of 31 for the second nine, culminating in a total round score of 6 under par 66. This victory placed him seven strokes ahead of the second-place finisher.
Beyond the score, the tournament presented a challenge in the form of intense heat throughout the day. TeJay had to focus on managing his physical well-being alongside his game, ensuring adequate nutrition, hydration, and energy levels to maintain focus over the 18 holes.
TeJay’s progress in his mental game was particularly evident. He demonstrated an ability to handle mistakes effectively, moving past previous shots and quickly refocusing on the task at hand. He also successfully applied lessons learned from practice to the competitive environment.
Piya Wongjaisuk, TeJay’s father, expressed his satisfaction with his son’s performance, stating, “Today, I was very pleased to see TeJay improve his emotional control, especially in the first 9 holes where many shots didn’t go as planned. He managed to correct the situation excellently. When he made a mistake, he moved on quickly, not dwelling on past shots, and refocused on the next shot, finishing the first 9 holes at 1 under par.” He further commented on TeJay’s putting, adding, “Today also showed the results of TeJay’s consistent putting practice. He made crucial putts accurately, along with his short game and around-the-green play, which helped him maintain his momentum and gain confidence in the second 9 holes.”
Mr. Wongjaisuk also observed TeJay’s genuine enjoyment of the sport, stating, “Today, I saw clearly that TeJay genuinely enjoys and is happy playing golf. Even with the hot weather, fatigue, mistakes, and competition pressure, he still found the game enjoyable and wanted to play, solving each hole’s challenges. For me, this is significant because golf isn’t always as we want it to be, but if he enjoys and finds fun in what he’s doing, I believe he will continue to learn and improve.” He emphasized the importance of his son’s understanding of the game, noting, “For me, the important thing isn’t just the 6 under score or today’s championship, but seeing him understand the game better, knowing how to think, solve situations, and apply his practice to real competition. What he does well should be maintained and improved, while today’s mistakes should be learned from and corrected. Every competition is an experience that will help TeJay grow and understand golf better.”
TeJay’s coach, Thichalada Nitithirasakul, highlighted his recent development, explaining, “Currently, we’re focusing on improving TeJay’s swing basics, making them stronger and more consistent throughout the 18 holes. In real competition, it’s not just about the swing but maintaining your playing style, even when tired or under pressure.” She added, “We’re also emphasizing mindset. We want TeJay to understand the intensity of competition, accept that not every shot will go as planned, and manage himself to refocus on the next shot quickly. Today, TeJay applied many of his practice lessons well in the competition.”
Coach Nitithirasakul also viewed the hot weather as a valuable learning experience, stating, “Today’s hot weather made completing 18 holes not just about technique but also about body management, including eating, drinking, and maintaining energy levels to stay focused until the last hole. These are competition aspects TeJay needs to learn alongside golf skill development. We have more details to develop from this experience to make his game stronger and more consistent.”
This victory, marked by a score of 66 (-6), represents more than just a win for The Wolf Juniors – TeJay. It signifies progress in his technical skills, emotional control, situation management, and physical endurance, alongside a deeper understanding of the game. Crucially, he continues to find joy and happiness in golf, even amidst the pressures of competition.
Following this tournament, TeJay will resume his training program with coach Thichalada Nitithirasakul to analyze his performance, build upon his successes, and address areas for improvement. He will then prepare for the SINGHA-KRUNGTHAI Junior Golf Ranking 2026-2027 – Central Region, scheduled to take place at the same venue, Dynasty Golf & Country Club, from October 17-18, 2026. This return to the course will offer TeJay another opportunity to leverage his championship experience, further refining his technique, mental fortitude, and self-management skills over 18 holes as he progresses on his junior golf journey.
