On January 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM, Governor Sittichai Sawatsan of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province presided over a meeting at the Singkhon Conference Room, 3rd floor, Provincial Hall. The session aimed to provide hotel operators with guidelines for conducting business in accordance with the Hotel Act B.E. 2547 and the Ministerial Regulation on Types and Criteria for Hotel Business B.E. 2551, as amended by the second amendment in B.E. 2566.
During the meeting, Governor Sittichai introduced the “Next Move Prachuap” strategy, focusing on developing a Wellness Economy at the village, community, and Hua Hin city levels under the theme “Prachuap: A Livable and Visit-worthy City.” He emphasized that promoting well-being can stimulate economic growth across various sectors, serving as a new engine for development and facilitating more equitable income distribution.
The governor also outlined policies to enhance collaboration and elevate the province’s capabilities, aiming to position Prachuap Khiri Khan as an internationally recognized destination.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Mr. Preeda Sukjai, the Provincial Permanent Secretary; representatives from district offices; and hotel operators. Their participation underscores the collective effort to align local hospitality businesses with national standards and to foster sustainable economic development through wellness tourism initiatives.
