Pattaya's "Nam" wins 2026 World Championship.

Pattaya’s Peninapa “Nam” Nakjuay has claimed the Taom 9 Ball Thailand Championship 2026 title after a hard-fought victory over Tingtang TBC. The championship, which concluded on October 6th, took place at the Kiattitada Academy, operated by the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand, and featured a total prize purse of 220,000 baht. The final match was a race to 13 racks.

In the women’s championship match, Peninapa Nakjuay, the reigning Thai champion from 2025, competed against Wuthiphan Khongkhakhet, who was the runner-up last year. Both players are esteemed members of the Thai national team and share a history of fierce competition, including a championship final two years prior where Peninapa edged out Wuthiphan with an 11-9 scoreline. Snr. Sunthorn Jarumon, President of the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand, was in attendance to witness the final.

The championship final proved to be a dynamic contest, with the score level at 6-6 after twelve racks. However, a series of unforced errors by Wuthiphan allowed Peninapa to seize control and secure the championship. Peninapa ultimately emerged victorious with a final rack score of 13-8, marking her second championship title and earning her a prize of 30,000 baht. Wuthiphan was awarded 15,000 baht for her second-place finish.

The men’s final was scheduled to pit Preecha Boonmuang, a four-time former champion, against Permsak Anurak.
