Nene Royal, the 16-year-old Thai rock sensation who triumphed on America’s Got Talent 2026, is set to make her acting debut by lending her voice to the lead character, Billie Doe, in Disney’s upcoming animated fantasy, *Hexed*. The new film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the acclaimed creators of *Frozen* and *Zootopia*, is scheduled for release in Thai cinemas on November 26.
Rattikarn Amloy, known professionally as Nene, expressed her delight and excitement about the new role. She noted a personal connection with Billie, who is also 16 years old. “Conveying a character’s emotions, thoughts and personality purely through my voice is something I’ve never done before, so it’s a new challenge. I want to do my best to bring Billie to life,” Nene stated.
In *Hexed*, Billie, originally voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, is portrayed as an impulsive and free-spirited teenager who uncovers a latent magical ability. Her accidental unleashing of this power propels her from her ordinary suburban existence into Hexe, an expansive realm inhabited by witches. Alongside her more reserved mother, Alice, Billie embarks on a journey to unravel family secrets intertwined with the world of witches.
The film is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad serving as co-director. The production is overseen by producers Roy Conli and Yvett Merino.
