On September 27, 2026, reporters announced that Mr. Thana Theparak, also known as “Pineapple Water,” a 9-year-old surfer from Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, representing Pineapple Surf Club and the BBQ training team, competed in the final surfing event of the year, the “Grom Patrol Thailand 2026,” held from September 24-26, 2026, at Memory Surf House within Memories Beach Bar, Koh Rang, Kuek Kak sub-district, Takua Pa district, Phang Nga province.
This competition is a significant platform for young surfers, featuring skilled athletes from Japan and Bali, making the event intense and challenging for the young competitors.
“Pineapple Water” drew attention by competing in three age categories: U10, U12, and U14, facing opponents with more age and experience. Although he did not advance in the U12 and U14 categories, he continued to compete fiercely in his own category.
In the U10 category, he showcased his skills and determination, overcoming older competitors to secure the “first runner-up” position, finishing second in a field of young surfers from various regions and countries.
This achievement marks another significant step for “Pineapple Water,” the young surfer from Hua Hin, who gained international experience and success. He closed the Grom Patrol Thailand 2026 season impressively as the U10 first runner-up.
From a 9-year-old boy in Hua Hin to an international surfing stage, “Pineapple Water” continues to gain experience and develop his skills on the path to becoming a young Thai surfer.
