Hua Hin invites black attire for "Walk with Heart" tribute.

The Hua Hin Municipality is inviting the public to wear polite black attire and participate in the “Walk with Heart to Father’s Home” event and a candle-lighting ceremony to commemorate Nawamintra Maharaj Day. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The program for October 13, 2026, begins at 4:00 PM with participants assembling in front of the Hua Hin Municipality Office. From there, a tribute walk will commence along Phet Kasem Road, covering approximately 1.5 kilometers to Wang Klai Kangwon. At 6:15 PM, attendees can watch a “Candle Dance Tribute” performance in front of Wang Klai Kangwon. This will be followed at 6:45 PM by a candle-lighting tribute ceremony, where participants will also sing the memorial songs “Ton Mai Khong Phor” and “Rak Phor Mai Mee Wan Por Piang.” The dress code for the event is polite black attire.

Commuters are advised to plan their travel in advance and avoid the area in front of Wang Klai Kangwon due to temporary traffic management measures. From 6:15 PM to 6:45 PM, a period of approximately 30 minutes, both lanes of traffic will be closed to accommodate the “Candle Dance Tribute” performance. During the subsequent candle-lighting ceremony, only one lane on the southbound side will be closed to ensure the safety of participants.

A free shuttle bus service, utilizing municipal school buses, will be available to transport the public. The shuttle will operate on a continuous loop route, starting from Golden Place Klai Kangwon, proceeding to the Hua Hin Clock Tower, then to the Hua Hin Municipality Office, along Sa Song Road (near the Night Market), turning right onto Chomsin Road, and finally returning to Golden Place Klai Kangwon.

Individuals interested in volunteering to distribute food and beverages can contact the Office of the Municipal Clerk. Inquiries can be made by calling 032-511047 extension 210 or 087-4281206.
