Draft defense building design presented October 8

Nang Kanchana Sawasdee, Head of Administration for the Municipal Permanent Secretary’s Office, presided over a meeting on October 8, 2026, to review the first draft of the design for the Prevention and Mitigation Office building. The meeting included the inspection committee, the supervisor, and the contractor, with notable attendees such as Ms. Sawalee Ruangrong, Head of the Building Control Division; Mr. Pongsiri Pathawiwongchakon, Senior Architect from the Engineering Department; and Mr. Apichart Srisuwan, Head of the Prevention and Mitigation Division in the Municipal Permanent Secretary’s Office. Representatives from Walla Sia Company Limited were also present.

The company presented the initial design draft for the Prevention and Mitigation Office building, a four-story structure intended to replace the old building. The design incorporates the distinctive architectural style of the Hua Hin railway station as its inspiration. Key aspects discussed included the allocation of space, convenient access and exit for fire trucks, emphasis on good ventilation, and efficient use of the building’s area.

The proposed layout details a first floor designated for parking fire trucks. The second and third floors are planned to house meeting rooms, operational training areas, electrical and communication equipment control rooms, offices, and staff rest areas for those on duty. The fourth floor is allocated for the installation of solar cells.

The meeting was convened for the committee to consider the draft design and suggest modifications to certain areas to better suit operational needs. The proceedings took place at the Phun Suk Room, Hua Hin City Municipality Office.
