Bangkok Motor Show Draws 1.8M Visitors, Sees Record Orders

The 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show, held from March 25 to April 5 at Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi, drew a total of 1.8 million visitors over the 12-day event. During the show, orders were placed for 132,951 automobiles and 2,056 motorcycles.

According to Chaturon Komolmit, the deputy chief organizer, the strong sales figures reflect the recovering confidence and purchasing power of the market. Electric vehicles from Asian and European manufacturers were increasingly prominent at the annual exhibition, but internal combustion engine vehicles, particularly multi-purpose vehicles and pickups, continued to be in high demand among buyers.

Among the top-selling brands, BYD received the most orders with 17,354 vehicles. This was followed by Toyota with 15,750 orders, Omoda Jaecoo with 15,088 orders, MG with 10,537 orders, Deepal+Nevo with 8,573 orders, and Geely with 7,811 orders.
