Prachuap Khiri Khan Police Station seized over 1 million methamphetamine pills following a car accident investigation. On the night of May 24, 2016, Pol. Lt. Col. Athit Butlakorn, Deputy Superintendent of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police, received a report from the Prachuap Khiri Khan 191 radio center about a car accident on the southbound lane of Phet Kasem Road, approximately 50 meters from the Thai Namthip Company branch in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Upon arrival, officers discovered a bronze-colored Toyota car with Prachuap Khiri Khan license plates and a red Toyota Yaris with Bangkok license plates. The driver of the red Yaris had fled the scene. Inside the car, officers found 7 black bags containing a total of 1,096,400 methamphetamine pills. Pol. Col. Paithoon Promkeaw, Superintendent of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police, ordered investigators to pursue and arrest the driver of the red Toyota Yaris.
